The spokesman for the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Majed Al-Ansari, revealed that the negotiations of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza have not yet officially begun, and that Doha is involved in the efforts of the Arab group regarding Gaza.
Al-Ansari confirmed in a press conference held in the Qatari capital, Doha, today, Tuesday, Doha's commitment to supporting the efforts to start negotiations on the Gaza agreement, and hopes that it will lead to the second phase.
He continued: “We will implement the provisions of the first phase to move to the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza,” noting that there is no other option than negotiations, and the negotiation effort is still ongoing.
He added: “The delegations come and go and there are no specific dates, but we heard positive statements from Israel and we hope that they will serve the interests of the second phase.”
