Al-Mahwit - Saba:
The Undersecretary of Al-Mahwit Governorate, Abdul Salam Al-Dhamari, accompanied by the representative of the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit, Eng. Mukhtar Al-Turki inspected the progress of work on the Al-Atheb checkpoint project in Bani Saad District, which is implemented within the direct intervention program to support the agricultural sector.
Al-Dhamari stressed the importance of the project in irrigating agricultural lands and recharging groundwater wells, which contributes to improving agricultural production and enhancing food security, praising the level of achievement and commitment to standards to ensure sustainability.
For his part, Al-Turki explained that the storage capacity of the barrier is 45,000 cubic meters, at 75 million riyals, funded by the intervention unit, and that the completion rate reached 90%.
He also stressed that the unit is working to expand support for barriers and dam projects to enhance agricultural activity and expand grain cultivation, in implementation of the directives of the revolutionary and political leadership to achieve self-sufficiency, noting that this support comes within the outputs of the visit of the President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, to the governorate.
