Tehran - Saba:
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards announced the dismantling of American and Zionist espionage and infiltration networks in Mazandaran Province in the north of the country.
Tasnim International News Agency quoted the commander of the "Karbala Corps" of the Revolutionary Guards, Brigadier General "Siyavash Muslimi", as saying on Wednesday: "Thanks to accurate intelligence awareness, we were able to dismantle the infiltration and espionage networks of the American intelligence services, the Zionist entity, and some hostile countries in (this) province."
Brigadier General Muslimi explained: Our enemies, including the American intelligence services, the Zionist entity, and some hostile countries in the region, always seek to infiltrate our country. One of their methods is to use the cover of foreign nationals and individuals who frequent the country.
Many of these elements operate under the cover of commercial companies, cultural centers, and charitable organizations, with the aim of collecting information or establishing infiltration networks.
Thanks to accurate intelligence awareness, we were able to identify a number of these elements and dismantle their networks. This intelligence response not only prevented security threats, but also prevented some potential crises.
Brigadier General Muslimi added, "During this period, networks affiliated with hostile groups, including the Monafeqin (the terrorist "MEK" group) and other anti-revolutionary movements, were continuously monitored and identified.
Several hostile virtual channels and pages that were trying to create anxiety among public opinion and create insecurity in the province were blocked, and their members were legally pursued.
In addition, all national events, elections, marches, and religious gatherings were especially secured, so that people could participate in these events with complete peace of mind.
