The Russian Defense Ministry announced today, Sunday, that its air defense systems destroyed 20 Ukrainian drones last night over Russian territory.
Sputnik Agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: "The air defense systems on duty destroyed 20 Ukrainian drones, 5 drones over the territory of Oryol Province, 4 drones over the territory of Belgorod Province, and 4 drones over the territory of Kursk Province."
The statement continued: "3 drones were destroyed over the territory of Lipetsk Province, 2 drones over the territory of Tula Province, and 2 drones over the territory of Voronezh Province."
The Ukrainian Armed Forces target, on an almost daily basis, the Russian border areas in Crimea and the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, and Voronezh provinces with drones and missiles.
In turn, Russian forces continue to carry out their special military operation, with the aim of disarming Ukraine, eliminating threats directed through it to Russia's security, and protecting civilians in the Donbas region, who have been persecuted by the Kiev regime for years.
