Ukraine has agreed to new terms for a rare metals deal with the United States, after Washington dropped Kiev's demand for $500 billion in compensation.
Ukrainian officials said the final agreement does not include security guarantees from the United States.
The agreement is expected to be signed in Washington on February 28. Earlier, the US president had requested guarantees from Ukraine to supply rare metals in exchange for financial and military support.
