Moscow - Saba:
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Zelensky's tone in the White House once again proved the correctness of Russian President Vladimir Putin's point of view, and confirmed that Russia's openness to settlement is facing Ukraine's rejection.
The Russian RT channel quoted Peskov as saying in a press briefing today, Monday: "The Kiev regime and Zelensky do not want peace, but rather want the war to continue, so in this situation, Washington's efforts and Moscow's readiness will not be enough. As there is a very important element missing."
Peskov pointed out that President Putin has repeatedly indicated that the Kiev regime refuses to enter into a settlement path through negotiations.
Peskov continued that the president is aware of the essence and details of the meeting between US President Donald Trump and the expired Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying: "Of course, the president is aware of the essence of what happened, especially since it was available to the entire international community in its details. Therefore, of course, he knows all the details."
Peskov stressed that Zelensky has proven, in many respects, to be completely lacking in diplomatic skills, to say the least.
Trump met Zelensky in Washington last Friday, and the meeting in the presence of the media turned into a heated argument, and according to Fox News, Trump "kicked out" Zelensky after a conflict in which the American leader felt disrespected. The signing of the rare earth minerals deal between Washington and Kiev was canceled. Later, a number of European leaders made statements in support of Zelensky.
