Occupied Quds - Saba:
The Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that the Israeli government has stopped publishing monthly reports on the cost of the war on the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, weakening the ability to monitor government spending and understand the true cost of the war.
The Israeli accountant general used to publish detailed reports on the cost of the war, which amounted to 124.7 billion shekels by the end of 2024, including approximately 100 billion shekels in 2024.
However, since January 2025, these reports have stopped, making it difficult to analyze budget performance and understand the actual amount of spending.
The government also added an additional cost of 18.5 billion shekels from the compensation fund, bringing the total to approximately 150 billion shekels. This halt raises concerns about transparency and the efficient management of financial resources, especially with statements about a strong resumption of the war.
