The Israeli occupation army decided to permanently terminate the service of Military Intelligence officer Michael Meir after he posted a tweet calling for refusing to participate in the fighting in Gaza.
Meir had strongly criticized the political leadership, describing them as "filthy traitors."
In his tweet, he called for refusing to fight on behalf of those he described as traitors, stressing that he would not participate in operations that harm prisoners or endanger soldiers.
After the decision, Meir maintained his position despite the personal consequences.
