Gaza - Saba:
The Gaza Municipality confirmed that the displacement of citizens from the Northern Governorate is negatively impacting the services it provides, particularly in the western areas and the city center, particularly water and sanitation services.
This is causing significant pressure and increasing the burden on the municipality.
The municipality explained in a statement on Sunday that some vital facilities are located in evacuated areas that are threatened and targeted by the occupation, impeding access and operation, and causing disruption. This negatively impacts the services provided to citizens.
The municipality indicated that the displacement movement, along with the shortage of resources—especially pipes, generators, fuel, machinery, and spare parts—as well as the extensive destruction of infrastructure, is exacerbating the catastrophic conditions in the city and increasing the suffering of citizens, both residents and those displaced from other areas.
