Ramallah - Saba:
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Sunday that the enemy's ban on the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza Strip is a "collective punishment" against Palestinian citizens and is pushing towards a severe hunger crisis.
In a blog post on the "X" platform, the agency's Commissioner-General, Philippe Lazzarini, noted that "three weeks have passed since the enemy authorities banned the entry of supplies into Gaza."
He noted that Palestinians in Gaza "rely on imports through the occupied territories to survive."
He said people in Gaza Strip are facing "a suffocating siege longer than that imposed during the first phase of the war, with no food, no medicine, no water and no fuel." "Every day that passes without aid means more children go to bed hungry, diseases spread and deprivation worsens," he said.
"Every day that passes without aid means that more children go to bed hungry, diseases spread and deprivation worsens," Lazzarini said.
"Every day without food pushes Gaza towards a severe hunger crisis," Lazzarini emphasized, calling for the immediate lifting of the blockade and the uninterrupted and widespread entry of humanitarian aid and commercial supplies.
