Dozens of settlers storm archaeological site in Sebastia

Occupied Quds - Saba:
Dozens of settlers, led by the head of the Settlement Council in the Northern West Bank, stormed the archaeological site in the town of Sebastia, northwest of Nablus, on Sunday.

Sebastia Mayor Muhammad Azem said in a statement that the head of the Settlement Council in the Northern West Bank, Yossi Dagan, led a group of settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation army, to storm the archaeological site in the town.

He pointed out that the town is subjected to daily raids amid acts of violence and provocation, forcing shop owners to close their doors.

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights reported that on July 24, 2024, the Zionist enemy issued a military order to confiscate 1,300 square meters of archaeological land in Sebastia, which is located on top of a hill in the archaeological area.
