DAMASCUS Jan 29. 2024 (Saba) - The residential area of U.S. Army soldiers at the U.S. Army base in the "Al-Omar" oil field, in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor province in eastern Syria, was directly hit by a rocket fire.
According to press sources in Deir ez-Zor, the sounds of violent explosions were heard from inside the Green Village, the U.S. Army's residence area at the Al-Omar oil field base, as the field was targeted by a rocket fire.
The rocket attack had led to smoke plumes rising from inside the United States base, with explosions heard from the green village that American soldiers were taking as their headquarters.
The United States air defences at al-Qa'idah tried to counter the attack, but to no avail.
