Gaza hosts the World's largest number of limb-amputated children in modern history, director of Financing and Partnerships Division in the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) told the UN Security Council late on Wednesday.
According to UNRWA, ten children lose one or two limbs every day, Lisa Doughten added at UNSC session on humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Women are more subject to the risk of abortion and death three times in the Strip than elsewhere, she said, citing the "systematic, persistent targeting of health sector that deprived over 2 million people in Gaza from healthcare services."
