Amman - Saba:

A protest was held on Wednesday outside the United Nations headquarters in Amman, organized by the Islamic Movement and the Forum for Supporting the Resistance and Protecting the Homeland.

Demonstrators gathered in solidarity with the Gaza Strip and northern regions, demanding an end to aggression against these areas and condemning perceived bias towards the Zionist entity amid ongoing violence.

In a speech at the rally, Engineer Wael al-Saqa, Secretary-General of the Islamic Action Front Party, highlighted the persistent violations and massacres against the Palestinian people, which he noted have now spread to Lebanon and Yemen. He criticized the international community for failing to deter the actions of the Zionist enemy.

The protest was themed "No to Starvation.. No to Genocide.. No to Displacement," reflecting the urgent need to address humanitarian crises resulting from the conflict. Al-Saqa emphasized that after failing to suppress Palestinian resistance, the Zionist entity has escalated its confrontations, threatening stability in the West Bank and beyond.

He called on the United Nations and other international institutions to take decisive action to prevent further violence, lift sieges, and open humanitarian corridors for affected populations. He criticized the UN for its silence in the face of ongoing atrocities, despite its stated commitment to peace and human rights.

At the conclusion of the protest, al-Saqa and a delegation from the National Forum for Supporting the Resistance delivered a letter to the UN Commissioner, urging the organization to uphold its responsibilities in addressing the crisis.
