The Russian Defense Ministry announced that air defenses shot down 16 Ukrainian drones launched by Kiev forces last night on the southwestern border areas of the country.
RT channel quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: "Our defenses shot down three drones in Smolensk province, one in Belgorod province, ten in Bryansk province, one in Pskov province and one in Leningrad province."
Kiev forces continue to target the border areas in southwestern Russia with drones and missiles on an almost daily basis, which confirms, according to what President Vladimir Putin announced, the necessity of expanding the scope of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, and removing Kiev forces from Russian regions, including new ones, within the range of missiles in the possession of the Ukrainian regime.
