New York-Saba:
The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, said that UNRWA is the trustworthy guardian of the identity and history of Palestine refugees.
He added in a statement published by UNRWA on the "X" platform, that the records of Palestine refugee families have been preserved and archived over the past 75 years.
He pointed out that thanks to UNRWA teams, thousands of archival files were transferred from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank to a safe place and converted into digital files.
Lazzarini stressed that preserving these files is essential to protecting the rights of Palestine refugees under international law.
He stressed that the time has come for a peaceful diplomatic solution that ends the Zionist-Palestinian conflict, including addressing the plight of Palestinian refugees once and for all.
