Gaza - Saba:
The Zionist enemy army continues to close the Gaza crossings for the 253rd consecutive day, preventing the wounded and sick from traveling for treatment abroad or bringing in any humanitarian aid to the Strip, which resulted in the death of hundreds and the spread of diseases, and Gaza is on the brink of the abyss
The Palestine Today News Agency reported today, Tuesday, that the enemy has been closing the crossings since its invasion of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip and its control over the Rafah and Kerem Abu Salem land crossings, despite warnings from humanitarian and relief organizations and international demands to reopen the crossings to avoid famine due to the interruption of aid, and to save the lives of thousands of patients and wounded.
The director of the Palestinian NGO Network, Amjad Al-Shawa, confirmed that 25,000 patients and wounded need immediate medical evacuation from the Gaza Strip.
Al-Shawa explained in a press statement that hospitals in the Gaza Strip are subjected to a continuous siege by the occupation forces.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said: More than 25,000 wounded and sick people in Gaza currently need to travel abroad for treatment.. stressing that none of them have been able to leave the Strip since the Zionist forces occupied the crossings, which exposes the lives of thousands of them to complications and death.
In turn, the Executive Director of the World Food Program, Cindy McCain, said: Two million people are facing severe hunger throughout the Gaza Strip, and that the Strip received only a third of the trucks needed by the program last month.
McCain wrote on the "X" website: Northern Gaza is the most affected, and only two trucks reached thousands of hungry people.. stressing the need to ensure safe and unhindered humanitarian access on the required scale, to save lives and avoid famine.
The Zionist enemy forces have continued their aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since October 7, 2023, which resulted in the martyrdom of 46,584 citizens, and the injury of 109,731 others, while thousands of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and rescue crews cannot reach them.
