Sana'a (Saba) – Former Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi praised Yemen's role in the battle for Palestine, particularly the role of the mujahid leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and his management of the battle in various fields, including in confronting attacks and campaigns against Yemen.
In his speech at the third conference, "Palestine: The Central Issue of the Nation," which began today in the capital, Sana'a, the former Iraqi Prime Minister noted that since the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa in October 2023, Yemen has developed a new equation unprecedented in the history of the struggle against the Zionist occupation: deterrent resistance.
He said, "Since the beginning of settlement and occupation, the nation has been making sacrifices, yet the number of settlers has increased and settlements have expanded. The general understanding was that the liberation of Palestine would come through two paths: either political settlements or its liberation by Arab armies." He pointed to the failure of the Oslo Accords and the Israelis' rejection of any participation or concept of a Palestinian state.
