The Rafah Municipality condemned the announcement by the Israeli Defense Minister, Yisrael Katz, to annex the area extending between Morag Road and the Salah al-Din (Philadelphi) Corridor, which represents the entire area of Rafah Governorate, to the so-called "security zone."
The municipality said in a press statement that this unilateral decision constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions, which affirm the sanctity of the occupied Palestinian territories and the national rights of our people.
