SANA'A - SABA: Dr. Abdul Aziz Saleh bin Habtoor, a member of the Supreme Political Council, participated on Monday in a commemorative event organized by al-Nasser University in celebration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birth anniversary.

The event also marked the launch of the university’s fourth pharmaceutical product exhibition.

In his speech, Dr. Bin Habtoor highlighted the significance of the occasion, which coincides with widespread celebrations throughout the capital Sana’a and other provinces.

He emphasized that honoring the Prophet’s birth has long been a part of Yemen’s cultural and religious identity, with only brief interruptions in recent decades.

This year’s grand celebrations reflect the deep connection of the Yemeni people to their faith and heritage.

Dr. Bin Habtoor also addressed the detrimental influence of the Zionist movement on the Arab and Islamic world, criticizing its role in undermining the region’s beliefs, history, and sacred sites.

He drew attention to the ongoing suffering in the Gaza Strip, where innocent civilians, particularly women and children, are victims of violence. Despite the indifference of many, the Yemeni people continue to stand in solidarity with Palestine, deeply affected by the atrocities committed by the Zionist regime.

He lauded a recent military operation carried out by Yemeni armed forces, targeting an area in occupied Jaffa.

According to Dr. Bin Habtoor, this act of solidarity demonstrates Yemen’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause, showing that geographical barriers cannot hinder their sense of duty. The missile strike, he noted, created significant disruption to the Zionist enemy’s security and future plans, shaking their confidence in their occupation.

Dr. Bin Habtoor further stressed the importance of resistance and jihad as essential ideologies for confronting the Zionist project that has plagued the region for over a century.

He commended the progress made by al-Nasser University, including the development of over 25 pharmaceutical products by its students, urging that these achievements be recognized as milestones in Yemen’s scientific advancement during times of siege and aggression.

He concluded by calling on Yemeni universities to document all their scientific and research efforts, ensuring that these contributions are preserved for future generations.
