Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources Dr. Radwan al-Rubai on Wednesday met with Dean of the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at Hajjah University Dr. Issam Mohammed to discuss cooperation in developing the scientific foundations and rules for agricultural studies.
The meeting focused on strengthening coordination and partnership between the ministry and universities, including Hajjah University, to develop studies and policies that advance the agricultural sector.
Discussions emphasized the importance of focusing on educational outcomes related to land reclamation, desertification control, agricultural holdings development, water map correction, and watershed and irrigation management.
The meeting stressed the need for qualitative research at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels, emphasizing applied scientific research methodologies. Research titles should focus on increasing production, reducing costs, and improving product quality.
Dr. Mustafa Hamid, Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics at Hajjah University, and other academics attended the meeting.
